The Reservation Lottery is intended to fairly allocate limited winter hut space. The lottery is available each spring to 10th Mountain, Summit Huts Association and Grand Huts Association members.

Keep an Open Mind
There is no limit to the number of choices you can list, but if none of your listed choices are available when you’re drawn, you won’t receive an assignment.
Think Beyond Weekends & Holidays
Weekends and holidays between mid-January and mid-March are the most popular. If you only list dates that fall in this criteria you will have a much smaller likelihood of receiving an assignment.
Some Locations Are More Popular Than Others
The huts closest to the Front Range and Denver are the most popular.
Huts near the Roaring Fork Valley tend to be less popular; however, there are good lodging options within 1.5 hours of any of the trail heads in the Roaring Fork Valley. We’ve compiled a list of them in case you’re interested.
Become a 10th Mountain Member
10th Mountain relies heavily upon donations to construct, maintain, and operate the hut system. These contributions also allow us to keep the hut fees affordable. As a member of the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association you will receive a regularly published newsletter, a gift, and the opportunity to reserve huts early for the winter season by participating in our reservations lottery.
