The 10th Mountain Huts 2026-27 Winter lottery is officially complete! Thanks to all of our members who participated. With nearly 2,500 entries, we are pleased to share that a full 85% of participating members received a trip from their list this year!

For those who are curious how all the numbers break down, here’s a quick overview of the final stats from this year’s lottery: 

 

Entry Information:

Total Entries: 2,488

Group Entries: 1,786 (72%)

Individual Entries: 702 (28%)

Total Number of Groups: 381

Average Group Size: 4.7

 

Results:

Total number of members who received a trip: 2,106 (85%)

Number of groups that received a trip (1 itinerary/group): 332 (87%)

Number of individual entrants who received a trip: 501 (64%)

Total number of group entrants whose group received a trip: 1,605 (90%)

Total number of individual hut spaces booked: 24,013

 

Upcoming Winter Booking Opportunities 

 

If you didn’t receive a trip through this year’s lottery, there’s still opportunity to secure a reservation for next winter season. Our early booking period for 10th Mountain Huts members opens at 8am MT on Wednesday, April 1st, and you can now view the remaining availability for next winter online here to start planning. Be sure to keep multiple options in mind, in case you can’t get your first-choice booking on opening day!

 

Members who did get a trip in the lottery also have the option to book additional trips at this time. Regular 10th Mountain Huts members may book up to three trips total for next winter season (including lottery trips) prior to the general public opening, and both Leader and Lifetime members can book an unlimited amount of trips. 

 

Not a member? General public booking for next winter season opens on Monday, June 1st at 8am MT. After that point, anyone is welcome to book trips for next winter season, with no limit on the number of bookings allowed.

Obtaining a current membership enables hut users to book during our early booking period between 4/1-6/1, and would also enable participation in the lottery for the following winter season.

 

To note, the best way to make your reservation on our booking opening dates is to visit our website and book through the online booking platform. You can also call our reservation line at 970-925-5775 – but booking online gives you the best chance to secure a specific itinerary, due to the high volume of calls we receive during booking openings.
