Maintaining North America’s largest backcountry hut system requires regular repairs, capital replacements such as new roofs, decks, doors, and windows, consumables (lots of firewood!), capable people, and a strong partnership of nonprofit organizations and private parties that own and operate the huts. The Alfred A. Braun Hut System, Friends Hut, Grand Huts Association, Summit Huts Association, and 10th Mountain Division Hut Association are included in this partnership and are separate nonprofits with individual governance, staff, maintenance requirements, and financial needs. Your donation to any of these organizations help keep the huts in good condition and available to the public at affordable rates.
