Perched at the edge of a high meadow on the slopes of Bald Mountain, just outside Breckenridge, the Sisters Cabin is the newest addition to the Summit Huts Association. Completed in 2018 to honor a close-knit group of women who have found sisterhood and solace in the mountains of Colorado, the beautifully built Sisters Cabin has stunning views of the Ten Mile Range. During the winter the Sisters Cabin can be accessed via a winter ski trail from the French Gulch Trailhead east of Breckenridge. There are numerous backcountry skiing options around the Sisters Cabin, the most obvious being the open slopes above the hut. If time and avalanche conditions permit you can explore all the way out the long, winding ridge that makes up the Bald Mountain massif.
