After parking, take the right side of the Y and hike or bike on FS Road 102 for approximately 2.5 miles to the intersection of FS Road 102 and the Jennie June Mine Road (this road is also the hut access road). Take a right turn onto the Jennie June Mine Road where you will find an unlocked closure gate. Hut visitors are permitted to travel through this gate – be sure to close it after use. Continue on the access road for .75 miles (passing the Jenny June Mine) to the hut parking and a second gate which is locked. The walk or bike ride from the parking to the hut is about .25 miles. 2 gear carts are provided (unlike other huts, these gear carts are not locked).
Beginning at the junction of Highways 24 and 91 north of Leadville, drive north on Highway 24 for approximately 3 miles to CR 18 (East Tennessee Road). Take a right on CR 18 and drive approximately 1.75 miles north to a Y-intersection. The signed summer 10th Mountain parking is to the left of the Y.
