Shrine Ridge Trail Closure

The Shrine Ridge Trail (#2016) northwest of Vail Pass will be closed on weekdays beginning Monday through Oct. 21 while crews conduct much-needed trail maintenance. The trail project, which is being funded by the Great American Outdoors Act, includes work with heavy machinery. The weekday closure will help ensure safety for crews as well as the public. This is the first year of two-year project. This season crews will be preparing multiple locations along the trail for the installation of culverts and elevated hiking surfaces to keep water off the trail.
